Jason Augood

Provisional Psychologist

Jason is a warm, curious, and thoughtful Provisional Psychologist who values getting to know each client as a whole person. He aims to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and able to explore what is happening in their lives without judgement.
Jason is passionate about supporting young adults and adolescents as they navigate emotional, behavioural, social, and life challenges. He is particularly interested in helping clients build insight, confidence, and practical skills, while supporting them to move toward a life that feels meaningful and connected to what matters most to them.

Jason is currently completing his Master of Clinical Psychology through the University of New England and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Provisional Psychologist, working under supervision. Before this, he worked as both a Behaviour Support Practitioner and a Therapeutic Youth Worker in out-of-home care, through which he developed a deep appreciation for the role that family, relationships, school, work, community, and environment play in a person's wellbeing and growth.

Jason brings a reflective and collaborative approach to his work. He is naturally curious, values learning from each interaction, and works alongside clients to better understand their strengths, challenges, and goals.

Outside of work, Jason enjoys mountain biking, walks around Cataract Gorge on sunny days, cooking, board games, salsa dancing, and most things fantasy and science fiction.
