Martine Plakalovic

Psychologist

Martine is passionate about assisting people tobuild and strengthen their self-esteem and sense of self-worth.

She believes that everyone has unique value. She enjoys supporting people to utilise their skills and strengths, and to identify helpful strategies for managing their difficulties.

Martine provides assessment of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) for children and adults, and support for individuals and families who are managing ADHD. She provides assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder in adolescents and adults. She supports people of all ages who experience anxiety and stress. She enjoys assisting people to bring about healthy behaviour changes and to build healthy daily habits.

Prior to working in private practice in Tasmania over the last 13 years, she worked as a school psychologist within the Launceston community, where she has built strong relationships with local schools and developed a sound understanding of how to support children socially and emotionally within the education system. 

She has also worked within the child protection and juvenile justice systems in Queensland, and within the adult justice system and community youth work sector in the United Kingdom.

Outside of work, Martine enjoys being with her family, spending time in nature, and staying fit and healthy with exercise.
